NO DESCRIPTION OF HOW YOU CAN POSSIBLY FEEL
Video essay captures personal experience of silence in an urban landscape, drawing inspiration from everyday conversations with my deaf mother, composed into a multi-layered text installation. The impulse for making the video came from the discovery that my mother had destroyed all the family photographs and recordings captured on a home VHS camera. From a broader perspective, the work raises questions about the topography of memories, overstimulation, and conflicts.
